The celebration was held between July 16-22 2017.The UHWI started with a launch and mini-exposition put on by the nurses. This was held in the Hospitality Hall, UHWI on the 17TH July 2017. The function was planned by the Social & Welfare Committee of the Department of Nursing. The nurses were treated to lunch and this was funded by the Committee. 

Seven nurses from the seven programmes were nominated as Nurses of Excellence. From this group the Nurse of Excellence was chosen with 1st and 2nd Runners up.

The Nurse of Excellence, Miss Claudean Tucker, she received her award from the Representative from JnBank, Ms. Saniah Spencer; Chief Marketing Officer.

 

Miss Claudean Tucker, Nurse of Excellence was also presented with a gift basket by the representative from BNS Bank@Work, Mr. Dushaun Walters.

 

Mrs. Claudett James, Senior Director of Nursing presented the Nurse of Excellence with a Nurse Association of Jamaica (NAJ) Banquet Ticket, complements of a UHWI Board member.
